You may have seen the ad on TV - BMW are launching the new Z4 in Melbourne next weekend.
I’m delighted to announce that I’ll be part of the launch speed painting the new Z4 in a number of different positions. In fact, the theme of this launch fits into what I do absolutely perfect.

Ok.. I’ve finally decided… I’ll be speed painting Lee Kernaghan during the festival.. Australian of the year in 2008, cowboy hat, man you can’t get much more country than him.. I’ll let you know how it goes…
Coming up next month, I’m really excited about the Golden Stave Awards. I’ll be speed painting ‘live’.. wait for it… Jimmy Barnes! Can’t wait to meet him!
For those people who follow this blog from the USA, Barnsey is like our rock god here in Australia. When I was in the US two months ago, they always requested Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing” as the last song of the night. In fact I heard it everywhere, I couldn’t believe it (sorry for the pun). Well here in Oz, we request Khe Sanh - which Barnsey sang with his band Cold Chisel.

Next week I am travelling up to QLD, headlining the Gympie Show. Here is some text from their website:
Each and every year the members and employees of the Gympie District Show Society strive to put on one of the largest regional Shows in Queensland. From all over Australia people come to exhibit and experience everything great within the Gympie District and beyond. There is always a diverse range of entertainment for all ages to enjoy and an overwhelming amount of things to encounter. (read further: http://www.gympieshow.org.au)
So I was thinking I really should speed paint a country music star. Not being familiar with this genre of music - does anybody have any ideas? The only person I know is Keith Urban but I was thinking of that guy with the cowboy hat? If you have any ideas, please let me know! email: info@bradblaze.com.au

Whist in the USA at the Dermatology Convention, I was asked to whip up a speed painting of Einstein.
With only a couple of days before I jumped on the plane I only had a couple of attempts and it seemed relatively easy - get it “relatively”.
Anyway, I think this speed painting is now finally mastered and I am happy with it (it takes me a while - I am a perfectionist when it comes to my job). I performed it in the US and have also painted it here in Australia.
Painted 90% upside down in about 3 minutes, the audience just has no idea who it is until you start with the white parts (moustache and beard). I really like involving the audience on this one - it’s almost like a magic trick.. I hold out and hold out, then spin the canvas and bam! It sure keeps them guessing.
Here is Einstein from a gig in Sydney the other night. The eyes are painted with my index finger.
