Astellas Pharma - USA 2009


At the 67th Annual Dermatology Conference at the Moscone Centre, San Francisco, Astella Pharma looked outside of the square and created a trade show stand that was totally unique.

The stand was geared around 'Art' and inside of the stand the "Art of Treatment Theatre" hosted the talents of Brad Blaze.

During the 3 day conference, Brad speed painted his way through celebrities including Pink, Elvis, Bono, Gene Simmons, Marilyn Munroe, Audrey Hepburn, Alice Cooper, Barrack Obama, Einstein and Bruce Springsteen. Most of the portraits took around 4-5 minutes each.

He also added some humour to his shows - drawing large 4 foot caricatures and inviting some of the doctors to challenge who it was he was painting.

"It was certainly a different experience performing for a trade show audience. I took a pretty quiet trade show, hooked up a headset mic, pumped up the music and jumped around for four minutes at a time throwing paint everywhere to create celebrity portraits" Brad commented.

It certainly got people's attention.
